Check out this website provided by Jim Johnstone, www.bestcrystals.com, it has cheap rough material.
-----------------------------------
www.arcrystalmine.com is the website for the Clear Creek Crystal Mine located in Mount Ida, Arkansas. It has some good articles, one is ‘Own Your Own Crystal Mine – How To Become A Starving Miner!’
-----------------------------------
For those of us who don’t want to go to Arkansas and dig for crystals at the Jim Coleman Crystals Mines, you have to check out this link: www.jimcolemancrystals.com. Jim sales not only crystals, but smoke quartz, lapis, opals and others. The most unusual thing he does is he will ship a basket of mine run unclean quartz to your front door. It comes in quantizes of 5 lb, 10 lb, 1 basket, 11 baskets, and 23 baskets.

This next link is a rockhound’s dream, I know I have been there. Rodney Moore is the operator and a great guy. He has two mines in Lagrange, Georgia near Columbus. One is the Crystal Mine and only has crystals, a lot of crystals. The other is the Hoggs Mine, it has tourmaline crystals, star rose quartz, and aquamarine berly crystals. Everyone meets at the country store in the morning and is lead to the mine by the field trip leader. Rodney provides a big backhoe to do the hard work. All the rockhound needs is a garden tool to dig around in the loose dirt. To find out when and where the next dig is going to be, click on the field trip button at this link: www.dixieeuhedrals.com.
